After a strong defensive performance from Manchester United in the first half, the teams went into the break at 0-0 at the Emirates Stadium. The breakthrough came early in the second half when Alejandro Garnacho charged forward and assisted Bruno Fernandes for the opening goal.
What followed was a dramatic 10-minute spell: Diogo Dalot was sent off with a second yellow card, Gabriel equalized for Arsenal, and United's goalkeeper Altay Bayindir saved a Martin Ødegaard penalty.
With the match level, extra time and penalties were needed to decide the winner. Bayindir came up big again, saving another penalty in the shootout, and it was Joshua Zirkzee who sealed the win for Manchester United with a successful fifth penalty conversion.

Altay Bayindir had already been a hero multiple times in the game, and he came through again during the penalty shootout. He dove to his left to save Kai Havertz's spot-kick, giving Manchester United the upper hand.
With that advantage, it was Joshua Zirkzee who stepped up under intense pressure, calmly converting the decisive penalty in front of the traveling fans, and securing United's spot in the next round of the FA Cup.
Watch the highlights and goals.
